Sarah Cantler, LCSW (she/her)
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering in-person and virtual therapy to adults, children, adolescents, and families.
My work centers on helping people develop a deeper understanding of themselves — exploring emotional reactions, learning effective coping skills, and building resilience and connection in their relationships. My role isn't to hand you solutions, but to help create the conditions where your own path to fulfillment can come into focus.
My clinical background spans community mental health, trauma-focused therapy, and family therapy settings, where I've had the privilege of learning from the diverse experiences and strengths my clients bring into the room. That work continues to shape my commitment to warm, accessible care that meets people exactly where they are - no matter what they carry in with them. I also bring a lifelong relationship to the arts and creativity into my clinical work. I believe healing rarely follows a straight line, and that creative expression - through play, storytelling, or art - can open doors that words alone sometimes can't find.
I have additional training in AF-EMDR, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), creative arts and play therapy, narrative therapy, family systems therapy, and TF-CBT, which allows me to draw on specialized, evidence-based approaches depending on what each client needs.
I hold a Masters of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY Hunter with an emphasis on Childhood Trauma.
