Therapy for Adults — In Person and Online
Where the unspoken gets some room to breathe.
Therapy doesn't have to mean having it all figured out before you walk in. For a lot of people, it starts simply: you show up, you talk about what's on your mind, and over time, patterns start to surface. Maybe it's a relationship that keeps feeling the same way no matter who you're with. Maybe it's a feeling you can't quite name, or a habit of taking care of everyone except yourself.
In our sessions, there's no set script to follow. We'll spend time understanding not just what's happening in your life right now, but how you came to see yourself and others the way you do. Often, the relationship between us becomes part of the work itself - a place where old patterns can show up, get noticed, and slowly shift.
This isn't about quick fixes or checking boxes. It's a steady, honest space to think, feel, and be known, at whatever pace feels right for you.

Depending on your age, needs, and preferences, sessions might include:
Talk therapy — psychodynamic therapy is based on a simple idea: the way we feel and act today is often shaped by things we experienced in the past, especially early relationships and experiences, even when we're not consciously aware of the connection.
Instead of just focusing on symptoms or offering quick fixes, this approach is about understanding yourself more deeply. Through open, exploratory conversation, you and your therapist look at patterns - in your relationships, your emotions, your reactions - and start to notice where they might come from.
Practical, skills-based tools — strategies drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help manage anxiety, strong emotions, unhelpful thought patterns, and everyday challenges
Family and relational work — when it's helpful to involve the people closest to you
Attachment-Focused EMDR — a specialized approach to EMDR, which is a therapy originally designed to help people process and heal from difficult or traumatic experiences, that pays special attention to our earliest relationships and how they continue to shape us.
AF-EMDR emphasizes relational wounds, particularly experiences from childhood, where our need for safety, comfort, or connection wasn't consistently met. Many of us carry patterns that trace back to these early relationships: difficulty trusting others, fear of abandonment, feeling unworthy of love, or shutting down emotionally when things get close. AF-EMDR gives special care to processing these deeper relational wounds, not just single traumatic events. Rather than guided eye movements, AF-EMDR utilizes tapping and alternating sounds as bilateral stimulation during memory reprocessing.

We operate as an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly.
That said, we want therapy to be as accessible as possible, so we're happy to provide a superbill, a detailed receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
How it works:
Payment is made directly to us at the time of each session
Upon request, we provide a superbill (typically monthly) that includes the information your insurance company needs - session dates, diagnosis code, session type, and fees paid
You submit the superbill to your insurance provider, who may reimburse you a percentage of the cost, depending on your specific plan
Before starting, we encourage you to call your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health care?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
Is there a deductible I need to meet first?
Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?
-
We believe therapy should be available to everyone who needs it, not just those who can easily afford it. To that end, we offer a limited number of sliding scale spots - session fees adjusted based on financial need, so that cost is less of a barrier to getting support.
We also recognize that access to mental health care has never been equal. Historically marginalized communities, including people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and other groups who have faced systemic barriers to quality care, often encounter additional obstacles: cost, distrust born from past harm, and a shortage of therapists who understand their lived experience. In allocating our limited sliding scale spots, we prioritize clients from these communities, alongside financial need, as part of our commitment to making care more equitable.
How it works:
Sliding scale fees are determined through an honest, judgment-free conversation about your financial situation - no documentation required
Spots are limited and offered on a rolling basis; if none are currently available, we're happy to add you to a waitlist or offer referrals to other low-cost options
We'll always be transparent about availability so you can make an informed decision about your care
If cost feels like it's standing between you and support, we encourage you to reach out. We'll do our best to find a way to make care work for you through a conversation about what's possible, which might include a sliding scale spot or a referral.
